Is there a way to take a 3d model g-code and turn it into a cad file? I am running bobcad and it will not do what I need.

I DON'T THINK YOU CAN DO THAT YOU CAN VIEW REGULAR NC FILES IN FLASH CUT CNC JUST TO SEE WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE IN CASE YOU FORGET
WHAT FILE IS WHAT YOU Cant VIEW A 3D NC FILE IT WILL JUST LOOK LIKE MANY SWIRLING LINES SO MY ANSWER IS AS FAR AS I KNOW YOU CANT EVEN VIEW LET ALONE CHANGE THAT FILE.

Bobcad 20 will generate a drawing from G-code.
It is one of the menu options in the NC window.

I do not know about 3D as I have never figured that part out.
I live in a 2D cad world.

Thanks guys.. I can make layers but was hoping to do another project for a friend but it looks like a problem.

Pull the txt file up in the CAM, select all using the top menu under edit, pull up a new drawing file in the CAD, then hit geometry from NC under the edit menu on the CAM menu. If you get the tool path, you may be able to work backwards, but depending on what the part is, you may only get a few lines about one axis and cant do anything with it.
