Does anyone here compete or attend on this tour ?

What are your thoughs?

What do you like the most?

What do you dislike the most?

My thoughts are not many of the azers are involed.
If they are they are just looking for something to do
and not the purse.

I live just two hours north of you and hadn't even heard of Central NY pool until I read another thread this morning. Do you know anyone up here in the sticks that gives lessons? I am just learning nine ball. (sorry I don't know anything about the tour)
 
I'm one of the B+ players who has played in a number of CNY 9-Ball events and has throughly enjoyed the experience. Although playing against the best players in the area can be a humbling exercise - it too is a great learning experience as well as a barometer to gauge the progress of ones game.

I have witnessed first hand the amount of hard work and patience it takes to organize an event that includes many players with large egos along with personal agendas. I applaud and thank Mike R. and Gary L. for their steadfast commitment and dedication to bringing tournament pool to Central New York.

I am not quite sure what your problem w/ the CNY is... But this is twice now you've felt the need to bad mouth or disrespect this tour in a public forum. It is a local tour, geared toward local players, so of course not many people across the country will have a clue what you are talking about. But you will know exactly what this means... You should no longer trouble yourself w/ worries or concerns of this tour because your invitation has been revoked...!!!

my problem came back up when mike got heresay from lyn and bumped the thread. the other thread ! you know i did edit out the info i originally posted to let it die, but then mike himself renewed this discussion with his post and bump. he said i posted things that were not true. if it was not true then you guys should be careful of what you post on totalpool.info. that is what i based my comments on. mike should be careful of the way he uses numbers. he includes calcutta money along with purse money to beef up the total payout. it does make it look better but it is deceiving. then the breakdown is in 2 parts, purse/calcutta.
Anyway i do not want to start a war with either of you. I still admire both of you for your efforts regardless what you think of me. who else would go to all the trouble for the player pool you have to work with. so just let it die. do not bump anymore and i won't talk about your tour. when you quote i respond that what happens on a forum ! ttyl
