All i'll say is what can be seen on the outside. It's my joint pin because it's easy for anybody worldwide to attach an aftermarket 3/8-10 shaft to. My joint is no better than his, just easier to get maintenance & extra shafts for. We went with his buttcap & bumper system because I really like the way his buttcap has an inverted curve that gives nice character. It also offers a little more protection from finish chipping than mine. The material choices were a series of discussions & branstorming. There's one of my shafts & one of his. We use the same shaft wood & ferrule material already, so taper will be the biggest difference.
