I understand there is some cocobolo burl Wood floating around in some cues, and one have any example to post?

Call Joe Salazar

I too would love to see some figured cocobollo. Joe Salazar has/had a cue by Richard Chudy of quilted cocobollo that was like nothing I have ever seen. If you want the ultimate, that cue used a once-in-a-lifetime piece and the design does not detract from the rare wood's beauty. It was still available last time I spoke to Seattle Joe. Wish I had taken a picture.

I was at West Penn Hardwoods last year and they had a huge piece like that for a table top. Would have made a sick looking table. I didn't bother asking them if they'd cut it up for me.

Cocbolo burl

Prettiest piece, and the only piece I ever saw was the one Searing had on his *personal* cue which was sold at Valley Forge this year. Never saw cocobolo burl before but one look and I was sure it was, I asked if thats what it was, and was told yes.

Unreal colors and grain in that wood. I did not take a picture.:sorry:

Maybe ScottR can pot some pics of the Scruggs Hoppe he sold me, A really
nice Coco Butt sleeve on that cue

That piece came from a board I scored from a man who worked as the main guy at a cocobolo importer. It was from his stash and he was moving. Its the rarest cocobolo I've seen. It's called "pomelle" cocobolo. I have a cue coming from Ariel with an outrageous forearm from the same board. Photos in a few weeks. There is no cocobolo burl to my knowledge.
