Cocobolo vs. Cocobola

Windsow Plywood says it's cocobolo. There are a number of other names listed for it, but not cocobola.

In the local Saskatoon store they have a slab of cocobolo like I've never seen before. It must be 10' x 3' x 3" think, they're asking about $8,000 for it if I recall correctly. It would make one fine dining or board room table !

At last years US Open, the TV Table was a Diamond made from Cocobolo (I think just the rails actually). That thing was gorgeous!!!

Did you see the one with the Spider web inlayed skirts done by Samsara for Diamond?
It was stunning.

Cocobolo or Cocobola?

Wouldn't Cocobola be the female version of the wood?

Hard to nail
Tends to chatter a lot
Finishing takes a lot of time and effort due to the constant chattering.

if you're searching on eBay, use all spellings and you will find something under each mispelled word,,,we were sitting around one night discussing that anything could be found on eBay,,,someone said "bet you could even find a prostitute on eBay",,,so we typed in 'prostitute' & we found several pages of that topic,,,, lol

Rosewoods

Try Rosewood, its much easier to write and the same wood.

Most Rosewood used in Cuemaking is "East Indian Rosewood" because it is dimentially stable and not too expensive.

There are many woods in the Rosewood family. The most commonly used in cues are Cocobolo, Bocote, and Tulipwood but there are many others.
