Does anyone know much about this Co.? I am going to go look at an 8' solid wood, 3-pc 1" slate table w/K66 rails and drop leather pockets made by this Co. and wondered if anyone here has had any experience with these tables or this Co. that makes these tables?

Supposedly this table retails in the $2500.00 - $3000.00 range normally but this guy (who I somewhat know) is getting out of selling these tables now and has 2 left in his warehouse and wants to unload this table for $995.00.

The reason I'm considering buying this table is to donate it to the newly opening Rec. Center here in my hometown in exchange for a few years of family membership. The table that they would bring in otherwise is an ancient, and in poor condition, Brunswick table that would have to be disassembled and moved from it's location in another place that's on a 3rd story floor. I'm sure it needs new rails, and I know it needs new felt and it would have to be refinished as well just to look half-way decent.

I'm looking for the best deal possible for an 8' table to put in the Center for them but I want a quality table to be able to play and teach on as I'm planning on setting up some youth programs/teaching/leagues for them and running it for them on a volunteer basis.

I decided to commit to buy the table after looking at it. It's a very solidly built table, solid wood tops/sides/legs. It doesn't have any cheap veneer stuff on it anywhere.

I just got back from a meeting with the director of the center. I had to go over and mark out on the concrete floor where the table needs to be set up so the electricians can drop an elec. pigtail down in the right spot so we can hang a light centered over the table. I'm going to get/donate a 4 tube flourescent light with a wood wraparound exterior that matches the finish of the wood on the table as close as possible.

I'm going to be donating a table/table cover/light/2 sets of balls/6 cues/2 triangle racks/ and a 1/2 gross of chalk. About the only thing I need now is some help hauling and setting up the table for them when the room is ready for it in 4-6 weeks. The guy I'm buying it from will keep it in storage in his warehouse til I need it. I've helped set up and recover a few tables in the past but I want to make sure the table is set up properly. Maybe there's a good table mechanic local enough to me here in SE Iowa that might be willing to help me out? :wink:

I have to sell some of my personal stuff so I can get the $$$ I need to buy the table/cues and the light, I have all of the rest of the stuff I'm donating in my posession already. I'll be posting some stuff for sale in the next few days ............ look for it. :grin:
