Are there any AZer's from the Colorado Springs past or present. Where did you play? When were you here? Why did you leave?

I have been here since 1974 and have played almost everywhere. I owned the Galaxy Lounge for about 8 years in the 80's. Maybe we crossed paths in the past. Bar leagues, tournaments, etc. :D :D

I play BCA Wednesday league out of Duffy's Bar and have recently been going to Antiques. First started playing out of Rack & Tap and then played a little at Sticks. I occasionaly play the Saturday night tourny at One Sports Bar. Where do you play at now?

I play bca thursday nights out of the one sports bar. I work at sticks. Well, I pretty much live at sticks. If you ever stop by, just ask for Drew and someone will point you in the right direction. Me and jgpool actually got together today and banged some around for a couple hours. Don't be shy, I'm always looking for someone new to play.

i lived there for a spell about two years ago (for three years) - played at antiques and sticks. left to play pool on the east coast :D couldn't take the bar box scene anymore - miss everyone though :)

I use to live there and graduated from wasson. I have no clue whats going on there now, well I do have a small clue. I played at Ranch Billiards just around the corner from where Grady had his room. It was before Grady move in and is probably a parking lot now.

I usually play at home. I have been going to Antiques a few times lately. I had the opportunity to play Drew yesterday at Sticks and we had a couple of hours of 9ball. It was fun and Drew has a wonderful stroke and touch. I shot OK until I realized that the table had been shimmed, then it got into my head and I couldn't make a ball. It is always fun competting against new people. One Sports Bar is on Academy and Constitution, right? How many table do they have, what kind of tables? Maybe we could get together and bang some around? Have a great day.

I had the same feeling about the bar boxes when I moved here. All anyone played was 8ball. That turned me off also. But I got used to it and am still here. ZGetting back on the big tables is more enjoyable and tests your skills at a higher level. Hope you are happy on the east coast.

That has to be a long time ago. Grady's room became a golf store and is now empty. I would guess that was in the 80's? That's when I was in the Galaxy Lounge. There are still a lot of leagues in town and Sticks and Antique Billiards are the bigger pool hall's in town now. Sticks in on Austin Bluffs and Barnes and Antique Billiards is by the Citadel Shopping Center. Have a grea day.

I don't play 9 ball really but if you would like to meet at Antiques on Saturday I would try to pretend to give you a game. One Sports Bar only has bar boxes, nine I believe.

And Drew do you play 8 ball on thursday league. I just switched from Thursday to Wednesday this session so maybe we've played before.

Lol...well, I just started playing bca this session. I have my opinions about league play but I'll keep them to myself. Someone asked me to play so I started. I'll see if I can make it down to antiques sat. night. I'm the kid wearing the white hat that's turning blue (damn that chalk). I'll probably play on table 2. It's the only table in there that I like to play on. Those guys all like 12 and 14 and I have no idea why...they roll like excrement.

Joe, the one sports bar is on constitution and academy. They have 9 valley tables that all roll decent. I like it down there. Greg is a great guy. I've been trying to convince him to trash one of the barboxes and put a 9ft over in the corner. Thanks for the kind words. But I was playing good yesterday, normally I can't buy a game :p .
