New iphone screen still too small??? Might be cheaper to invest in a pair of glasses my friend :)

Kenny needs to put on a lot of weight to fit that in his pants...but in sure he'll have a good time when someone calls him and it vibrates..

This would probably be the last set of update pictures i'm posting as the cue is going into the finishing stage. The only thing that'll be a mystery now would be the JPs and the Wrap Choice. For those answers we'll have to wait till i get my hands on this beauty.

Here's the cue getting ready for the joint installation:

Bob made a little boo boo at the joint and forgot about the floating stitch ring. SO he installed the ivory joint in and realised he forgot to insert the floating stitch...OUCH!
He contacted me about it and wasting that ivory joint definitely wasn't what we wanted, we played with the idea of just silver dots..but ultimately i left the decision to Bob and was just waiting to be surprised.

Two days later i was truly surprised...Bob removed and by removed i meant demolished, destroyed, eliminated...the ivory joint that was already installed..Ouch ouch ouch and ouch!~
He felt that the original idea of floating stitch ring was good and was the best idea for the overall design and i couldn't agree with him more.

Here you can still see remnants of the ivory that was removed...

Joint was rethreaded and my stitch ring installed.

And finally a sneak peak at the cue's over all look...it's mighty gorgeous!! Now for the wrap choice...hmm...we slapped on a black and a brown and we both agreed that brown is probably the way to go. However everything to be decided when the finishing is applied as we need to see if the Amboyna is leaning towards Orange or Brown.

Great work!... I cant quite make out if the sleeve of the cue ends with a burl cap or does it have a slice of black at the end... if a burl cap the brown wrap would look nice...If it were my cue i might have done a black cap and then chosen the black wrap. That would tie the butt all together for me....I love black..

Congrats on a nice cue!

Congrats on a nice cue!

This cue would be a bumperless finished with polished and engraved SS bolt. I really like having wood extended all the way to the end but because it's a bumperless i needed some protection so it's lined with black phenolic.

Agree with you, on the black end bit. Infact Bob was saying the same thing that if we have ebony in the window then a black wrap would balance out right. So for now we leaning towards brown tone. I'm thinking Cognac EE wrap but pending finishing to decide.

That's beautiful, after seeing it all together I think either choice works great. Initially I thought the black would take away from amboyna but it appears it adds nice contrast. Glad I'm not having to make that choice

Jive, I agree with everyone else above and go with the black wrap. It compliments the ebony in the cue really nicely and balances things off well. But like you said, the look of the overall cue might change once a finish is on it so I patiently wait to see what you end up deciding. The photos of the cue in progress are phenomenal!

I would go with cognac elephant . But any of the choices will be beautiful.

Can't wait to see the final pictures.

I'm happy for you............

IMO it has to be a black wrap since there is no Ebony in the butt sleeve. That will be the only element that pulls in the Ebony forearm.

It seems i have to resurrect the idea of using Black Wrap hehe...anyway thanks for all the comments guys, i'm happy and i hope Bob's happy with the build too. He deserves all the props in the world, one of the greatest guys i've had the good fortune to work with.
