Has anyone ever seen a Brunswick African Blackwood Titlist before???

This is the first for Mr. Jerry Rauenzahn and me. Jerry -R- does amazing work if anyone is needing a cue or restoration. He teased me with these pics. I can't wait to hit with it. I'll add more when it is in my hands.

Also, I forgot to mention -the reason the points are so long is because of the extreme undercut for the original crome tanned cowhyde. I'm lucky to see this cue play again.

That is a very nice cue, sometimes when you do a conversion on a Titlist, due to the size of the cues diameter you must cut it near the points to have enough size to convert it. I could be wrong, but I suspect that is what you are seeing here. Notice how the bottm of the points are exposed, and normally Jerrys cues are wrapless Titlist conversions.

However, to me it really doesn't matter either way, because it looks great, like all of Jerrys cues.

Manwon,

You're exactly right, the undercut for the leather wrap was soooo deep by the forearm that Mr. Jerry wasn't sure it could be used. When I got the cue I thought it was another ebony Hoppe. After peeling of the wrap you could see it was African Blackwood.

Has anyone ever seen another Hoppe Titlist using African Blackwood???

Thanks,
John

First one I've ever knowingly observed. I suspect many have been mistakenly identified as Ebony.
