Compression clothing for pool

Where'd my stroke go?

Lately I've noticed a few of the best players around here have started wearing compression-fit shirts and arm sleeves to play pool. I remember Alex used to wear one a couple years ago as well (I think he had an elbow injury?).

Curious, I went down to the local sports shop and picked up a compression sleeve for my shooting arm and used it all last week. Besides feeling like an idiot and having people ask me what happened to my arm, I find it does help to keep my shooting arm warm and ready for action. I think they may be onto something here.

Anyone try it and have any thoughts?

Yeah, all you need now is some cloth hockey tape for your fingers, a bee keepers outfit
and some a ss weights and you'll be set. Oh, and a 150 inch cue.

Just kidding. I have had to use a compression sleeve for my leg and it felt pretty good.

I imagine that one for your arm would feel ok as well.

Or how about a compression fit shirt with pool gloves attached to the hands. That would be cool, but really hard to wear.
"Dude, just hold on, give me five minutes to slip this baby on."

At the moment, I don't think anyone needs to see me in a compression shirt any more than I need to be seen in a pair of Speedos.

Maybe if the shirt really compressed hard.

If the shirt sleeve acts like a sleeve for your leg, it would induce circulation. Obviously other than being warm, your arm would remain to be limber.

That in itself is worth it to anyone.

Now that I think about it, I have one that when you put it on, it looks like a full sleeve of tattoos. Actually looks pretty cool.

I won it as a door prize in a tourney.

I need something like that for my knees and elbows. I see thousands of these
garments on eBay but have no idea which brand to buy.
Anyone have first-hand experience purchasing this type of clothing ?

I just bought a cheaper arm/elbow sleeve to try out, the brand is called Macdavid I think. It's basically just a polyester sleeve that fits very snugly around your arm, but still feels really nice.

If you don't mind spending more, you can get higher end brands that are shaped, fitted and more durable, like CW-X or Skins for example. If you have a chance, I'd try going to a sporting goods store and trying out various brands and seeing which feels the best for you.

I bought a pair of Zensah compression sleeves for my calves. My legs had been wearing down after playing 10+ hour days during tournaments. By the end of the day they would would be tired and burn like fire; whenever I made the second day I would play very meekly, which I would attribute heavily to bodily fatigue.

Since wearing the sleeves my legs feel strong after a full day's competition. Coupling these with some gel insoles for my heels, my tournament stamina is up and I have been having some of my strongest finishes ever.

I wear them under my pants so no one even sees the sleeves. I recommend them.

Try a shoe with a defined heel. Kinda like a dress shoe, but there are several casual options. The heel takes pressure off your calves and spreads it through your hamstrings. It helps alleviate a tired back also.
