My friend Stefano the trick shot champ plays at Best Billiards and we were talking about trick shots and I suggested that I would love to see a single stroke trick shot challenge between all of the trick shot champs. One stipulation... no ping pong balls, ramps, tubes or any other gimmicks that has taken away from the sport of trick shots ! Lets see how well the you tubers will do, it would be fun and interesting !!!

There is a certain level of creativity in using "props" and such. However, I think the most impressive trick shots are the ones done with the standard equipment found in use at any game. One cue and as many balls as possible. The weird english, crazy draw, and extreme cue ball control are more impressive to me than throwing a pile of junk on the table and having some sort of Rube Goldberg trick.

Hey Robert,

I was at Best Billiards over the holidays. I'll catch you next time I'm out there. Probably this summer. Gerry said he might be out there in the next couple of months. He wasn't sure.

My favorite trick shots are without props. An occasional rack or piece of chalk ain't bad, but let's see the stroke! Any news on your second book? The first one brought back a lot of memories.

Best,
Mike
