I've never liked broccoli.

There I've said it.

I don't like playing or watching one pocket matches and think SW cues are way over-rated.

There I said it.

I knew the International event was going on, but when I realized it was one pocket, was a bit disappointed. But it led me to wonder who else held somewhat unpopular opinions about pool that would get you generally booed in a big time pool hall hehe.
Poor / bad etiquette by players that have played long enough and know better!

Opponents that say “good match” while shaking your hand when you’ve played like crap and handed them the match on a silver platter. Just shake my hand and say nothing!

People who don't sit down after their inning, whining about hitting a poor shot, telling me what you were trying to do( I don't give a shit, sit down), 90 gd bathroom breaks, slamming equipment like a petulant child, tournament players who feel the need to put their cues away on the table or bullshiting after a match( get out of the way if you're done), not reporting match results right away, stupid pool shirts/ jerseys, pocket chalkers, rules Nazis, I can go on and on.

I don't like 10B. It's not about the skill difference. 9B is exciting because you can go for 2 way shots and get creative. If I want to see a test of skill and strategy, I'd rather play 1P than 10B.
10B is just 9B with speed bumps. Slow to play and watch.
10B feels like a game invented by frustrated 9B players and 8B players.

This might not be controversial, but any pockets over 4 1/2" isn't real pool. 5" is to keep the interest of bangers and make quarters off them.

That fly that hangs around the table on a hot humid summer day.
This fly will land on the cue ball or the object ball your aiming at and then buzz by your face.
I really don’t like that fly
But it really likes you. It will follow you to your car and never leave. Open all the doors, drive with the windows down, that fly will live and die in your car...or until your next trip to the pool room.

My list is long, just a few.
The punching bag game, whether I'm playing or not.
99% of all pool commentary, they love hearing themselves talk. They bring in others for the next match
who are just as bad or worse but think they are great, and the people who blow smoke up their ass.
Mens bathroom in a pool hall, you may as well just stand back and pee on the floor.

I never tell my opponent “good luck“ before starting a match. Why would I want them to have good luck against me? I simply tell my opponent to play well. If they beat me by playing well, they earned it.

If it's people I know, or people I just met but seem fun I say "good luck, but not as good as what I would get" :)

Chalk left upside down on the rail. Nine ball racks. Poolrooms with no bridges. House cues without a tip. Loose rails. Chipped balls. Unlevel pool tables. Ripped or torn cloth. Cats.

Upside down chalk is a funny habit and seems to be hard to break. I do see that a lot of Hispanic players do that, and even when I explain why it's not a good idea, they still continue to do it. Maybe it's the norm in places like Puerto Rico.

Yea Southwest cues are ridiculous. i have absolutely zero interest in a southwest cue unless it was made with a andrew r. 360 blank ....
