Congrats Gary Abood on Mike Surber memorial tourney win !

Congratulations to big Kahuna, Gary Abood! He is maturing in many different ways.

Troy, Gary is a monster. He had better watch out for that Parker boy. He is one too.

Ryan,
You need to give me weight from now on and you must be on a 30 second shot clock (but just for you). I will play on a one minute shot clock. :D

Mike Surber's Memorial One Pocket Tournament was a big winner. Congratulations to Doc for pulling it off.

Thanks to Skeeter's for holding it and I'll work next time to help fill the field.

Nowthat the out of town guys know that they can win, more will come.

Oh stop it now Joey..You know Gary aint no monster player but with the right weight we might try some of dem monsters..lol...Seriously tho..Gary played good but there were at least 2 matches that went double hill with Gary & 2 for sure had a good chance to win...like the 1 with the the lil guy that came with Denny that was in the arm forces...he needed 2 on hill game with Gary needing 6 & Gary was able to get there & that 1 match with that c player...he needed 1 on hill game & Gary needed a truckload & Gary squeaked by...Mentally Gary had gave up & lost that game/set but I believe the guy being a c player didn't quite know how to finish him off...Gary even said a few times in that fianl game..shoot me..i'm done & me & Ed were doing our best to keep him focused & believing he could still win.

...like the 1 with the the lil guy that came with Denny that was in the armed forces...he needed 2 on hill game with Gary needing 6 & Gary was able to get there

David played well that tourny. At hill/hill, he kind of choked against Jaybird on his exit game. I really hoped he'd win that match just so he'd get into the calcutta money. I appreciated the fact that he bid on himself, even up to 2 bills.

He shoots well, especially for a kid in active duty military.

I was impressed with his game since i had never heard of him or seen him play...He will be a force to be reckoned with if he keeps playing...especially how young he is & to already have a grasp of the game of one pocket..I know some really good rotation players that took them years upon years for it to click @ the game.

lol...you just kill me Joey. Me getting most all the rolls in our match has done very little to dampen the total @$$ whoopin' you gave me in New Orleans! Hell, I still have nightmares over that match! Any gambling match does a much better job at determining the better player than any tournament match, at least in my opinion.

With that being said, I still have to have a ball to play for any real money. Before you try and say that's out of line, remember there was a witness (Jason M.) to how you completely dominated our match at Buffalo's. I never even got 6 balls in ANY game, lol.

And the shot clock would be a welcome addition. Maybe we can find one of those clocks they use in chess matches. Any time the time expires on one of us a ball is owed. I'd go w/ that. Though I'd have to make the proper adjustment (ie drinking only during your shots, lol).

Looking forward to future matches w/ you Joey,

Ryan

Well, I guess there won't be any matches between us or between me an Jason since he did even better in the tournament than you.

Anyway you are too tough for me even up.
