Nick van den Berg has done it again, and won another Eurotour. Congratulations. A great finish from a great player.
I remember the first time I saw him play, that was live at Sky Sports during the Mosconi Cup. I loved his style, the pace around the table, and the way he played.
Later on he has started to play a bit slower (or maybe it was the Mosconi Cup watch that made him play with the smooth pace back then), but he's still pocketing great and has a text-book kind of style, and is beating champions left and right in every tournament.
He is the kind of player that I call an "invisible" player, or a "sniper". You really don't pay much attention to him, but when you read the results after the event he's already in the top somewhere. It can go months, maybe a year, before he snaps off a big one, but he's always there. A really solid player.
Well done Nick, and good luck with your non-pool related career! Hope to still see you play the major events.
