You should be proud. The Greeks have played some great pool and, as you've noted, they're not done yet.
 
I've been saying this for years...my career has afforded me the opportunity to play all over the U.S. and Europe over the nearly 30 years I've been in the Army. I've played in the UK, Germany, Italy, the Balkans (Albania and Macedonia), Greece and Cyprus. Obviously, Germany has a very organized amatuer and pro system, so no surprises there...but you'd be VERY surprised at the talent of those who play strong in Greece and even Cyprus. There are guys you still haven't heard of that are every inch AAA speed; they just don't have an opportunity to get out of Athens, Limassol, or Nicosia to prove it. I'm glad Nick and Alex found enough coin to get over here and prove it to the rest of us, trust me, there're more where they came from!;)
 
As somebody who dated a Greek woman for many years (born in Athens, Greek is her first language, she rode a donkey to/from school and her family slaughtered their lamb in the front lawn once moving to LA, which preceded their first interaction with the police), the first thing that springs to mind seeing the Greek players in tournaments is this:

Yep...my wife's a Greek, from Athens. I've eaten many, many lambs over the 21 years we've been married! :smile: I laugh at stuff like this and "My Big Fat Greek Wedding", but man, those things only scratch the surface! :grin-square:
 
The double hill match Nick won against Kiamco was entertaining. Things are definitely going Nick's way.
