And an exuberant Welcome to the WPBA!!!

With her win last weekend at the AWBT stop...Tina (aka girlwon1) the title of Tour Champion and an invitation to play all of the WPBA events in 2006!

For those of you who know her game...you already kow she belongs on the WPBA tour. For those of you don't...you'll figure it out soon enough. And since she is a friend of mine...it'll be great having her around this year!

Just one question for Tina...

WHAT THE HECK TOOK YOU SO LONG? IT'S ABOUT FREAKIN' TIME GIRL!

Hey thanks Melissa!

I am so glad that it is going to be this coming year. I felt like I could have made it on before, but am really ready to do it now. I am just taking it easy I guess, and am playing because I want to, not because I want to try to prove anything to anyone. The Nationals were nice because I wasnt even nervous playing, and I knew and accepted whatever happens, happens. I just wanted to be there, and just play as good as I could.

I have to practice playing races to 9! It just seems like such a longer race than I am used to going to 7. It is important trying to get a feel for how long a match can be, and then try to make that the norm of what you experience.

I have to say it was nice also meeting alot of the new girls also this year, just in the two that I played. Janet A, Cathy M, Jennifer B, Caroline Pao, Gina Kim, and Sarah have been all really nice to me.

I just finished applying for my passport yesterday, and am ready to go where ever this game takes me! I am just looking to have a good time, and hope that we hang out in the events coming up!

Thanks again, and we'll see you in February, or at the Derby if you are going!

Awesome job and best of luck in 06.

Grrrr

Sic 'em, Pawz.

May I suggest "Pawz" as your pool nickname, if you don't have one already. BTW I'm inferring dangerously fierce bear paws not adorably playful puppy paws, although word on the street is you're cute.

Think about it.

For real, good luck next year.

Hi there,

I really would like to come up with a nickname for next year. WPBA was looking to possibly have a contest to have fans pick names for players. I might throw my hat into that ring. I think the closest to something I have gotten is Tina "the powerhouse" Pawloski because I have a big stroke. I am not sure I quite like that one, just not quite feminine enough. Hmmm, still working on that one..

congratulations tina !

you could play off your last name with a nickname like "tiger"! :)

"tiger pawloski" !

although their is an obscure golf pro that uses that name

Tina, you already know that I think the world of you and that I'm happy for you! :)

How about it Melissa, you going to Derby??? I know you mentioned something about a winter job & didn't know yet the last time we talked.... Are you going to be working or playing??? I've got a room that you're more than welcome to stay in.

Hey Timberly ~

I had planned to go to the Derby City this year...but I ended up taking a position through February. So, I won't be able to...even though I'd really, really like to. I know most pool players won't understand that decision...but I just really needed to have something stable to do during the WPBA off-season. Working makes me feel like a useful member of society again!

Have a great time though! I'll be with you in spirit...just not in body!

Hugs ~ M

I like TINA " THE PETITE POUNCER " PAWLOSKI.......What do you think about that one?  ;)

LOL. I am trying to imagine Mitch Laurence announcing this on T.V.
I am so tired of hearing "The Striking Viking".

Best of luck, Tina. The only time I got to see her play was on Ball Breakers on GSN. I was thrilled because it was a name I recognized from WPBA brackets, so I was automatically rooting for her. Hopefully, we'll be seeing her (along with Melissa, Jennifer, and the rest of the AZ pro posters) making some TV rounds and climbing up the rankings. Best of luck next year.

I will gladly take all the credit. See, Tina and I got together for about 5 seconds at the US Open. She must have looked at my stroke and form and said to herself, "self,... don't do that."

The rest is history in the making.

Hope this helps,

Fred
