Juan Medina actually made the semi-finals at the Sang Lee Open. He then had to play all his matches afterwards in the Juniors Tournament where he was able to finish in 3rd place, probably because he was exhausted, although Edwar Gomez and Jung Sub Kim are both excellent players as well.

The 2 top finishers were not able to travel to Spain for the World Championship, so Juan Medina is representing the United States.

Thanks, guys!

Now my goal is to improve my tournament play enough to get booted from the "B" tour. Easier said than done :)

I enjoy Robert Raiford's commentary on Carom TV. So if he's watching this post, please tenure that position for a long time :).

Dennis Dieckman also went with Juan Medina.

Robert, you were dangerously close to getting booted from the B's this past weekend. I am sure it will happen eventually. But not before I get booted first! ha ha

Thanks, Rick, I'm glad you've found my comments helpful. Thanks to the positive feedback from last year's videos, Jan was nice enough to invite me back this year to help out with CaromTV again. If you'd like to see more, please email Jan at CaromTV and let him know! (After I managed to squeak into the semi-finals this year, I told Jan he's not allowed to root against me just so I can do more matches in the booth. :))

btw, Jan has already released two amazing matches from the tournament last month, and many more are on the way. Each of the new ones include a run of 15 (by Blomdahl and Sayginer), and the Blomdahl-Ceulemans match was best game in the finals: 35 in 11 innings! Check http://www.CaromTV.com/ for the latest updates.

Heh - so it's a race to see who's booted first... Nothing like a little friendly competition to motivate improving our tournament play! :)
