i posted this in the non pool related section but because Keith is a cue maker i thought i'd post it here as well.....

hey all. just wanted to let everyone know Keith and Sherri Josey's son Daniel has won the AAU Tae Kwon Do National Championship for his age (i believe 9 and 10) and weight class (82 to 90). Keith told me he had to fight the championship match with an injured ankle and he just sucked it up and "kicked" butt. the Josey's are sure blessed to have such a wonderful and mentally strong young man for a son. congratulations Daniel!! you deserve it!!!!

Cool!! For those of you who never met Daniel (he attends the Super Expo with Keith and Sherri), he is a very nice young boy. Always respectful, busy, and enterprising. Keith and Sherri are blessed and should be very proud of him - he will do great things.

I've never met Daniel, but I know Keith and Sherri and they are some of the nicest people i've ever met. Congratulations to Daniel, Keith, and Sherri.
 
The Martial Arts happen to ba a great discipline for young 'uns. It teaches them respect and humility.

MY 6 year old grandson is in a class now. The first time I went to watch the class, the instructor surprised me with his loud, quick commands to the students. Now, I see the value of his teaching method.

My son-in-law was the National Junior Karate Champion 20 years ago. He represented the USA at the World Juniors in Japan. He is some high degree black belt, but I don't know which one. I have only seen him in his Gi once.

And Dylan's (my grandson) instructor "bowed" to him. So cool. Such respect.
 
ya know someone reminded me that this is like de ja vu. when have you heard of a kid named Daniel fighting for a martial arts championship with an injured ankle?? Does the Karate Kid ring any bells?? i guess we'll have to call him "Daniel-san" from know on. :D
