Archer posted on Facebook @ the penalty and wrote "That was wrong!"

Good thing it wasn't hill-hill at that point! I assume there's a rule like "only one break per player per set"

Angie Tran posted on FB: Daz says "10-9 up I needed to get restroom, ref did not let me go and I said I needed to go. I run for wee come back then ref give 1 point to opponent so 10-10 and his break and I was fuming... but last game he missed first tough shot I was shaking so much but I ran out"

Darren handled it better than I would have. I wonder what they would have penalized him if he turned to the corner and relieved himself.
 
Daz always wins the big ones, its amazing. In a $5 tourney he might get knocked out 1st round, but on a world stage event he wins. good for him!!!!

Right you are. On the international stage, Darren often gets the cheese. Well done, Darren!
 
Daz is one of my faves, certainly my most fave player from foreign soil (and Angie is a sweetheart.) I've tilted a few with him just after his 2 US Open 9 ball wins and right after Euro's last Vegas Mosconi Cup vistory. He's just a regular joe off the table. Would love to get him on the golf course where I could turn the tables on him. :grin-square:

I can't find anything on Johnny's or Darren's FB to understand the rule behind the penalty. Can only imagine something like "you only get one break a match". And because Darren probably had a full bladder of ale beforehand, he went twice. ;)
 
This just happened also in the final of the european championships.
The young german had a Very full bladder ( lol poor guy). But at 6:6 (hill/hill)

He wasnt allowed to go. One time out prr set allowed.

He lost the set.

I wait for the day when someone pulls out a bottle and...........grin....

Funny rule
