Honestly, the intention of this thread was two-fold: 1. to point out the loose interpretation of the Viking Tour rules and 2. to ensure an amateur player who plays my speed, and there are thousands, don't drive all the way to Georgia and get shut out.

Joey, thank you for pointing out that players that have a question about their eligibility, just as you did, should contact us in advance.

In fact, we put this on our website at the same time we put the Amateur rules up.

"If you have any questions regarding your eligibility please email the Viking Cue Amateur 9-Ball Tour at viking tour2@yahoo.com at least 14 days prior to the event you wish to compete in."

I highly recommend players contacting me in advance. I am always willing to take the time to help.

Additionally, of the 27 inquiries today, 8 were denied and 19 were allowed.

Based on those stats, I again highly recommend players contact me before they make a drive to our amateur events.

Mj

PS... Joey, this does not mean we determine you to be a Pro it means you are an open division player and overqualified for the amateur division.

Hey Mike,
I'm deleting this thread. I'm sorry for everything. I play worse than players you allow in and you know it. This is not the place for my bickering. Take care and I hope to see you at another event in the future.
Joey

Joey, if you figure out how to delete a thread on AZ please let me know detailed instructions.

Mj wishes he could delete threads...... Boy do I sometimes wish I could.

Taks care.

Joey Ryan is over qualified to play in your tournament.... Do you not want to have a succesful tournament or do you wanna run it into the ground like a lot of other tournament directors... This makes know since what so ever.. Joey is a good player. He is not great. He holds his own, but he can get the 7 or the 6 from the better players in his area. Who are you to make a ruling on who can play and can not play... What are you one of Eddie Littles friends.. He has 9 cashes in 2008 already.. He had 8 cashes in 2007.. Some of there are in Great Southern Billiard Tour.. Pretty high finishes with several killers playing.. Real pro players.. But a guy from D.C cant get no love... I guess next you will come to the local tournaments and start baring APA 3's.

Get real. We have an established / published set of guidelines. They are what they are. If at anytime you see a player playng in the Amateur division that does not fit into these guidelines please feel free to knock his/her action and geive me a heads up.

Thanks,

Mj
