Hello,
Does anyone know why this has moved? I started this thread and I don't even have a password to get into it?

Did I do something wrong here?
How can I get a hold of the Administrator?

Thanks.
Chris

Amazing, that was one of the best threads in this section for a while. Lots of information being exchanged, no name calling at least last time I checked it everyone was being civil. Maybe someone made an ass of themselves and cried to Mr Wilson to have the thread removed before too many people saw the post. Just a guess. Depending on the reason this may be my last post at AZ.

How or when will we know why it was moved? It wasn't removed-just moved with a password needed to get into it?

Please help me Mr. Wilson!

I am hoping that the thread will come back locked, with nothing deleted or altered but closed for further discussion. There was an insane amount of information on cue construction, as well as revealing prejudices and attitudes of forum members.

I, in fact, appreciated the amount of information exchanged on cue construction. I did not like the path it veered off to but it seemed to get back on the correct path and all looked okay? I know some reputable makers may have been mentioned but it was all speculation and was not meant to offend anyone!

It is still here....locked. How do they control who gets in? If somebody did something wrong or crossed some boundaries, are we made aware of this so we try not to do it in the future?

Does anyone have the Administrators email address?

Thanks.

Chris

When I try to get into that thread using my password....it comes back INVALID PASSWORD or something like that. To delete or lock that thread is disappointing. I would like to have seen where Mr. Barringer was going with his attitude about some human beings!!

I guess I am being selfish here. I don't care about hanging anyone in particular, nor am I condoning some of the remarks, I just want to know if some of MY comments were out of line so that I know to tread lighter in the future...........

I didn't see anything out of line from you...:)

That "someone" may have been me, if so, then I truly apologize to all the forum members (with one obvious exception that is) for any contribution I may have made to the thread being closed.

As with most threads, it did demonstrate that most makers have different techniques, none of which are either right or wrong, simply different. That however is not justification for political or racial remarks!

When the thread took that turn, then it was probably best that it be closed.

The way I see it is, this forum is part of the WWW (World Wide Web), it's not limited to "American" cuemakers, nor is it limited to PI cuemakers. It's not even limited to cuemakers.

Once again, if I offended anyone (with that one member being an exception) I do apologize, but, I am not going to sit idly by and read remarks like the one that was posted towards the PI maker.
That just is not acceptable!

You said nothing wrong Poulos.

Thanks gentlemen. I didn't know if I was crossing the boundaries when I mentioned names of (2) cuemakers in particular.

Again, I am not condoning the stray path the thread took, I was one the few who got it back in line. :)

Reminds me of Don King.
Only in America!
Good ole Don.
Convicted murderer and obviously a slaver ( even promoted fights in South Africa during the apartheid days when Mandela was in prison ).
Pulls the American flag and race card everytime his integrity is questioned ( like after the Fenech-Nelson fight where the Australian put a pasting on Nelson and lost a controversial decision ).

So Joey, why do you think this thread got moved :D

Dave, thinks they may remove that colour from the pallate ;)

OK, thanks for your honesty, but I'm not sure about that ahole part.

Dave, swims around

It would be nice if the thread came back but definately EDITED. The link that was added in another forum advertising it, didn't help anything.
Just my .02.

Where was that?

And yes, I would like to start where it left off as it was really going somewhere:)

IMO the admin's did the right thing. The thread was heading in a direction that had no relation to cues, and yes I added my 2 cents in, which I'm sure didn't help.

It's a shame that the thread was stopped, we lost some good information.
Fortunately we also lost some bad things too.
