Cons of Titanium Radial Pin?

No draw backs, Titanium is lighter and stronger. Oh, ok it's more expensive if you would consider that a draw back. Aluminum if dropped or abused bends easier.

I use aluminum pins in some of my b/js, I use titanium in higher end cues along w/ G-10 to lighten it up.

What about anodizing an aluminum pin to strengthen it?

Hi, that means you are using flat face joint and not piloted joint right?

Thank You.
That is correct. I also have a method of hardening wood threads so I can offer the smaller pin with no insert. Gives the same nice tight fit with more wood to wood face surface.

Anodizing aluminum will not add much strength as far as bending and breaking goes. What anodizing will do is make the surface wear much slower, provided they use a hard coat and not just a color coat. Titanium is the way to go. I have used Titanium joint pins for years and had zero problems.
