Consecutive Rack Record?

Rack 15 balls. Break and take ball in hand and run them in any order. If done without missing. Rerack and do it again.

Does anyone know if there is a known record for consecutive racks without missing?

I don't know if there is a record or not, but a very good player would only miss due to fatigue or boredom (or hitting the break REALLY bad).

Lets take Mosconi's straight pool record for example as straight pools is much more difficult than taking ball in hand and then running a wide open table. His straight pool run was 38 racks.

This is basically what 6-pocket is, minus the ball in hand (though they do have a rule that lets you sort of take a mulligan if you get screwed on the break).

I don't think it ever took off but it's a great game for practice, league, or even with buddies if you alternate racks.

You're supposed to play 10 racks, one point per ball, so a perfect score is 150. I believe it's been done before, john schmidt probably has. So at least 10 racks WITHOUT ball in hand.

Then as masayoshi points out, mosconi's run is equivalent to 38 racks using a more difficult method (no BIH, must play shape on your break).

I think top pros might pull off 50+ racks your way (starting with ball in hand) and would only be stopped by a really unlucky cluster or bad roll. But I don't think any of them have tried.
