Cue related???

Little background info on me first, I started playing when I was 16 until i was 20. Stopped b/c I started working later had a daughter and money was not always available for me to keep shooting. I am now 29 and started palying about 4 months ago.

I bought a poison cue, liked it but wanted more. I then bought a Predator sneaky and LOVE IT. Money got tight and had to sell it so I picked up my Mcdermott (the cue I basically learned to play with) today. My cue from when I was 17ish-20 was this Mcdermott with a reg ole maple shaft. I have been shooting ok AT TIMES and my accuracy and consistency have been pretty bad (not my normal) with the poison and predator cues Ive been using. I havent shot my Mcdermott in YEARS, but as soon as it went in my hands today......miracles began to happen. After a practice session today I can say that I havent shot this since I've been back. ...

My question is, should I stick with traditional shaft or keep at it and work with the 314-2?

Not looking for a DEFINITIVE answer as much as some wisdom and guidance...ty, ty.

Man that Mcdermott just felt so FREAKING GOOD....lol

That is your choice. I think you need to determine what your future financial support will be. Then play with what you can afford.

different opinions

You should go with what (you) like the best.

Most pro's can beat everyone with a house cue.............................

There is no right or wrong answer.

If you play better with the Mcdermott I would stick with it.

Predators can be good but they are something that takes work to adjust to if you aren't used to low deflection shafts.

They do have some qualities that make some things easier and others harder. (short version) Sometimes the benefits aren't worth the cost.

In order for you to be consistent in pool, you have to have to feel the "miracles began to happen" consistently under many pressure matches; only then you can declare success..
