Consistently undercutting shots

Left spin to make it go right and right spin to make it go left. But in most cases you have to half cut it and spin it the rest of the way. It's a great way to make the ball with less force(the spin adds speed to the shot) and with some practice you can control the cue ball pretty good. And you need get your bridge hand real close to the cue ball and slide your hand up the cue to the top of the wrap or above the wrap and use a short quick slightly downward(try it out at first by raising your grip hand about a foot above your belt line) stroke.A short sharp little 2 inch poke.

Makes sense. I did have a more experienced player suggest to use inside english on very thin cut shots. Maybe the slight deflection on CB helps with thin cuts ?

About the bolded part above...I caught a lot of flak a while back for mentioning this tidbit. :) Let's see what happens. sign0004.gif

Ironic isn't it?

There's always going to be those that don't believe you cut balls better with inside, than outside. Once you experience it {inside information} the results speak for themselves, however, it's hard to get through all the miss information that's been floating out there for so long. The funny thing is it was people like my road player "associates" that started it. Hmmm, I wonder why?

If you used to use outside on most of your shots, then you probably don't have the right image for making shots with center ball. I used to do the same, and would undercut balls whenever I tried to shoot without outside spin. It's just a matter of practicing and getting the right image for shooting with center.
