convert 12' duffrin snooker table to billiards

yes you will need a new set of rails but the cloth will be dif also and of course you know that would need to be changed as well. That would be interesting to play on

Except for the fact that there is no such thing as a 6x12 billiards table...so where do you suppose the rails would be coming from?

Actually you have a billiards table already no? An ENGLISH Billiards table. The game was originally played and still is on a 6' x 12' table with pockets. http://www.ibsf.info/rules-billiards.shtml#1

3 cushion billiards is played on a 5' x 10" no pockets. Not sure of the 3-cushion origin or when the 5' x 10' came into play. However, I have played English Billiards on a 6' x 12' and it is a great game!

always the questions, thats easy- more than 1 less than 2

So, how many sets of cushions would that be?...1 or 2 sets? hmmmm...do you know someone that sells 1/2 sets...new? Come on John, you opened the door on this one....so speak up!:D

But, the OP was wondering about no pocket 3 cushion billiards rails for a 6x12 snooker table, of which I'd already informed him that no such animal existed....that is, until OTLB piped up and said....just have someone make the rails:D

well you can easily splice the rubber from a 10 ft set so you can do it anyway you want. And if he doesn't want his snooker rails you could use those as a base with your ultimate tooling, bandaids, popsicle sticks, super glue, baking soda and coffee. LOL

See, you're backing up now John, because I already answered the OP in the main forum as a no, you can't do that...BUT you on the other hand said...yep, sure can...all you have to do is get different rails...SOOOOO...the task is on you...not me, my tooling or anything to do with my skills....you, provide the answers as to how to convert a 6x12 snooker table to a 3C table;).....since YOU said it could be done:D

Sucks when someone else knows something can be done and you don't doesn't it Glen. Just like my billiard blocks, because you don't know how to make them you say you don't bother with them. LOL You just don't know how, its that simple. Question was can he? Answer is yes!!!!

side note: here is a pick of my new RV, now I have to find a nice trailer. This is the size I was talking to you about on the ph when YOU called me.

Can't wait to get graphics on it.
