I love my Carolina Custom break/jump cue but over the years I have come to hate the leather wrap on it, so I got me wondering would it be possible to convert it to a wrapless cue?

The groove is allready there, sure you could build up with veneers, but it`s a s**t job. Much better off finding a leather grip you like and have that installed.
The closest you come to wrapless feel will be stacked leather.

What about going to a linen wrap slightly deeper, then refinish the whole butt including over the wrap......a la Meucci style
At least it would feel like a wrapless cue.
As it's a break/jump perhaps you could get away with a refinish only below the forearm.

That's probably what I would do if I insisted on a wrapless feel. Black linen, finished over wont even look like linen, it will just look like a black wrapless handle.
