Cool Home Billiard Rooms

Maybe it's just me, but a prerequisite to a cool room is a top quality table. A Gold Crown or Diamond in a garage beats most of the offerings I've seen posted lately.

Here is a guy who knows quality....
...except he needs a carpet and a Diamond light.

Yeah, some of those tables look very light...a light table cannot play well...
...and some of the designers?....you just know they need the rainbow crush....
....from an APA 4....

Yeah, I'd much rather play on a GC or Diamond in a garage when its 18 or 108 degrees outside than in one of these nice comfortable rooms.

That is a nice looking Kling.

LOL, and you'd think one of MJ's buddies would give him a Gus or Gina for a birthday or something. Heck, he should have Black Boars for house cues. :grin-square:

This will be my final post on the forum. I've run out of pool tables to post and additional responsibilities at work mean I need to cut back on my forum activity. Feel free to keep the thread going. See Ya!

Thanks for your efforts in this thread. It has been fun. I do hate those modern rooms and tables, though.

This is one of my subscribed threads....I like it a lot....
...going by the view count, so do a lot of other people.

I agree about many of the tables...but I like the fact that people buy them.
...it gives pool a better chance of making it mainstream.....
...these people are supporters of the game.
...maybe if one of their kids show some talent, they'll get a real table.

In snooker's boom years, most of the viewers couldn't run the colors if they were doing
their laundry.....but they were the ones responsible for snooker's millionaires.

This had been a great thread. Thanks for posting all the pictures!

Here's my room that we actually use for pool and for living, not just for looking at.

There's another thread where I told the whole story but here's my pool room. The room was remodeled and I tore out two walls and put in counters low enough for pool cues to pass over just to fit the table in. The table was a rather involved restoration that Mark Gregory made possible.

Jeff, that is so YOU...who the hell else would have a sign on their wall....
...YOU ARE BEING WATCHED...
...and a fire truck on their light shade. :)

But puhleeeeze, will ya get a decent set of pool balls?
...those balls belong in a dive bar somewhere in the Okefenokee Swamp...
...where a guy called Bubba says you didn't call the rail on the way into
..the pocket...that's the way we play around heah.
