Cool Michael Jordan pool story

I remember talking with a vintage cue dealer back in the 90s, who had been to his house and played him on his home table. It would be interesting to see what kind of setup/equipment someone with his money has.

20 years ago I played pool all night at the home of then Milwaukee Buc Ray Allen who was living in Hartford, Ct. He was a very nice guy; and it was a party at his home. I beat all comers in his very nice basement man cave. It was a very enjoyable night. He was just a casual pool player, and a very gracious host.

I assume you gave up the table once in a while to let others enjoy playing someone more on their own level?

Unless I am badly mistaken he caught a good bit of heat for betting big on his golf game while he was still a player. 150K a game comes to mind, I don't know what his biggest bets were.
