Cool pool related items

To keep this from going on for pages and pages I met Valerie Bertinelli back in the early 90's. We kept in touch through e-mail and when Van Halen came to Japan in 1998 on their "Van Halen III" tour I was set up with the band for a week in Tokyo. Anyway, being a total pool freak I took a 3-ball with me to have autographed......since it was the III tour. According to Gary Cherone, who was singing for them at that time, no one gave them a pool ball to sign during that tour. Since Japan, especially Yokohama, was the final night of the tour, I have what is probably the only billiard ball in the world signed by the members of Van Halen. Just thought I'd show it to you.

Great thread idea! I have no special pool stuff, but... like you, I think it would be neat to see what others might have, too. I think it's great what you did with the 3 ball.

Thanks, man. My only regret is that it's not a Brunswick Centennial. I took this ball from the spare balls at the pool room.....with permission of course. If I had thought about it earlier I would have gotten the Brunswick. It's still cool though.

Minnesota Fats

I have a pair of suspenders that Minnesota Fats autographed for me in 1980 in Colo Springs. It's really hard to read but it is there.

Yeah, that's what he used that entire tour. You wouldn't believe how low the action is on that guitar. I honestly have no idea how he keeps it from fretting out. And, dude, when he's playing right in front of you, I'm talking like less than 5 feet in front of you, it's unreal. I always knew he was a great player, and I've seen a lot of really good guitarists in bars all over the place, but nothing compared to what I saw that week.
