Copper or Damascus joint pin?

Does anybody have a line on where I could acquire a copper or Damascus 3/8 -10 joint pin?

You can get Damascus stock from knife making supply companies. You would have to machine your own pin from the stock.

I assume it comes annealed in that case. You'd have to etch it to bring out the pattern after machining. I think it could look really cool. I'm curious which stainless steels are used for joint pins already and how their hardness would compare to annealed carbon steel and if you would really need to heat treat the damascus for this application.

Even un-heat-treated steel would be harder than the brass and aluminum pins that a lot of makers use. I believe it would be a non-issue.
