Corey Deuel playing GB 9 Ball Tour

Corey is over in the UK for a few weeks to participate in the World Snooker qualification tournaments (Q-School). While he is over here we are pleased to announce that he has also agreed to play in his first ever GB 9 Ball Tour event, the official professional tour for the UK.

Good luck Corey!!

Here is a preview of the event...

Assume you'll be racking the 9-ball on the spot, just as they do on Eurotour, so this will be a very good experience for Corey that will help him get ready for the Mosconi. Smart move here by Corey.

breaker scores 1 point for each ball potted and 1 point for each ball past the headstring. Breaker must score 3 points for break to be legal.

A stupid rule. You make two balls on the break and can be told to sit down because a third didn't cross the headstring. A kneejerk fix.

The three point rule was not used in the 2013 Mosconi Cup, but the breaker had to break within a few inches of the head spot.

I think it is fair to say that not many US players play much outside of the US, so how do we all think Corey will get on?

Exactly as SVB on Greek tournament, he'll go far, but I don't think he will win the tournament.

you know the first year i went to DCC they racked the 9ball on the spot i think,it was at the Executive West Hotel...i really didnt pay any attention where they were racking and a buddy of mine pointed it out to me that they were racking the 9 on the spot. I guess i had heard of this before,so that less 9 balls were made on the break, but had never seen them do that before.

Corey will be playing against a much weaker field than he's accustomed to. I'll be surprised if he doesn't win the GB tour event.

It wouldn't necessarily surprise me if he won, but he'll definitely need to play well to win. There are a lot of good players in these events and Deuel is a big name in the pool world, meaning a lot of people would love to boast a win over him.

A much weaker field, are you joking?

Corey will have to play his very best to win this.

Excellent news Andy. Hope he does well.
Thanks for your part in keeping this tour strong.
