corey deuel

ummmmmmmmm hmm let see. I heard he won the US Open a few years back. I think he is from West Jefferson Ohio. He was number one in the world at point, but I don't know by whos rankings. He gels his hair. He and Mika Immonen don't like each other apparently. He has made some of the best spin shots I have ever seen. I dunno Im out.

:D :D :D :D

I think he's an Elvis impersonator in Vegas?

Based on what I SEE and HEAR he has a very long (massive?) and well developed stroke.

I thought Corey and Mika are good friends...what makes you say they don't like each other?

I heard it from Jim Wych. Though he could be wrong I, dunno. It makes sense because I remember watching a match where there was a lot of gamesmanship coming from the Corey. I know I would never pull anything like that on a friend.

I have talked to Corey several times about Mika (he is from Philly originally and stops in from time to time) and he said Mika is still bitter about losing 11-0 to Corey in the finals of the Open. After that they haven't really got along very well. Plus Mika is strictly a tournament player and Corey is more action-oriented so they don't run in alot.

Mika is a helluva player. Don't get me wrong. But he is a baby and a whiner. When things aren't going in his favor, its real easy to rattle his cage.

And I believe I remember the match you are talking about. Mika was upset because he thought that when breaking, Corey was too close to him (though seated) and he asked Corey to move. Technically, he did not have to move so he chose not to. This created a tension that was very visible!

Take it from someone who heard the story from the souce and the hard way. I mentioned this before. It was during the World Summit Event and it was on ESPN. What they didn't show you on TV, was Mika stepping on Corey's feet when ever he had a chance. So Corey was just getting him back for being a jerk.

Thanks for the info, I thought Mika was a better sport than that. Oh well he is still my favorite player.

Ya that was the match I was thinking of. I have noticed that Mika gets rattled easily. But when he is on he is deadly. I guess thats why hes one of the guys that I make sure I don't miss when pool is on.

If Corey really wanted to get back at him, assuming he had witnesses, he could probably get him arrested for assault and battery...

I agree, but those who engage in physical sharking, touching someone like that, on purpose, not by mistake, but with malice aforethought, should realize they take a risk, and a very real one. Whether someone does anything about it or not is a totally different question.
