Corey's insane draw shot

Great shot and great stroke, but I have to nit-pick: your placement of the 4-ball and CB was much straighter than Corey's shot. That's why your draw takes sooner and doesn't have the flashier banana-curve after the rail that Corey's had.

This has been discussed before. And your nit is not accurate.

1st) the angle is just about the same as Corey's shot. As shown below, Corey was at A, I am at B. The angle looks virtually identical.

CueTable Help

2) If the shot was straighter, it would be 100X more difficult since you couldn't get the cue ball to hit the side rail without a gorilla stroke.

3) The ONLY reason for the banana curve in Corey's shot is the cloth.

4) My draw takes earlier because of the cloth, and no other reason. That is, the cue ball is not sliding across brand new cloth.

5) You seem to be easily impressed ;) The shot isn't that hard on new equipment. Honestly.

6) Let's see your video ;)

I'll take your word for it about the relative straightness. In your video, and I'm aware this may just be camera angle, it looked straighter than what you have in the diagram here. It is of course true that slicker cloth makes the spin take more gradually. I just thought I perceived a difference in angle, which obviously would have a huge effect on the shot.

If I could execute it, I wouldn't be as impressed ;)
