Cork wrap by ratcues

could you show a picture of what you are talking about,please?it sounds interesting.80 cork rings,do you have to sand them down or do they come the right thickness?

I can stain it just about any color you want.

How about dark brown? I think it is almost difficult to go wrong with that. No point doing black as the cork wrap will lose its natural look.

Do people apply finish over it? I thought it would kind of defeat the purpose.

I would guess it depends upon the woods in the cue. With those dark points in the photo, I don't think it looks good at all, nor do I think a tan leather wrap would look good.
My old cue with cork wrap. Also with dark points but it thought it looked fabulous....... Maybe it depends on the design and the type of cue.

It looks better there with a more distant view you can't see the "corkiness" of it. It is not bad taste on your part, just different tastes on both our parts.

I'm anxious to hear who ratcue's staining tests turn out.
