Cork wraps

First time so take it easy on me..How thick are the cork wraps est. cost of installation. :o Jim

I will second the Paul Drexler recommendation. I had one put on my Schon and it feels like nothing else. Last time I had it done, it was $100 plus shipping both ways. I believe the cork is the same thickness as a standard linen wrap.

I had one done by McDermott years ago and it was a light tan and felt like velvet. The buyer loved it. Jim

Cork wraps are thin, about the same as a linen wrap. I have three cues with this wrap. The real smooth one that feels the best gets dirty real easy. But nothing else feels like cork.

I had one on a McDermott as well,I realy liked the look and the feel, It was absolutly black from grime when i bought the cue,So i tried the trusty ol' magic eraser on it, and in about one minute it looked just like new!

How well do cork wraps hold up? Do they tend to chip and crack? It seems like a great wrap material, but I think it would get annoying really fast if it tended to chip.

They hold up as long as the player takes care of it because they can chip but I have never seen one crack. They do get dirty but that is the purpose of a wrap; to absorbs moisture. Cork can be easily cleaned and made good as new.
