I think this was taken at the LA Open (Jay could confirm) where Mark Tadd finished 2nd in one-pocket, 1st in banks, and 1st in 9-ball. What a performance that was!

I'm pretty sure that a guy named JJ (no idea what his real name is) filmed this if, in fact, this match was played at the LA Open.
 
yep that is the la open 1992 only 2 dvds i got from this event is

Yep, these were from the L.A. Open in 1993. Total prize fund for the three events was over 150K. Mark Tadd won $26,000 - ALL CASH!!!

The Don Mackey led MPBA boycotted the event (I refused his offer of a "partnership"), and all the hustlers came instead. It was a blast, nine days long, very similar to the present day DCC.

By the way, many of the pros who boycotted the event, came by after their tourney in Burbank the week prior was a huge bust. They were sick when they saw all that money getting handed out.

Steve Cook beat Mark Tadd to win the One Pocket and ten grand. He immediately took the next flight home. :)
