Leather drop pocket Olhausen tables. Looks like someone has sat on the pocket and busted the rail underneath. What's the correct way to fix this?

Without sending me the rails so I can rebuild them, all I can say is reglue the broken wood, and clamp back in place until dry.

So gluing the rail together should be sufficient? I didn't know if I should notch, glue, and staple/nail/screw a half lap type splice in.

You could also buy new rails. We need to know table size? Finish? Rail style?

After looking at your pictures you have the wide rail. The finish looks like Traditional Mahogany. The newer tables will have a sticker underneath that will have the initials of the finish. I can get you some pricing if you want?
