Correcting cue wobble?

is it possible? ive heard if you hang the cue from the tip it will straighten out a bit. the reason is, i found a meucci for 50-75 with a shaft wobble and its a gorgeous looking cue. i also found another meucci cue (very nice 2 pointer) and a mali break cue all in a 2x4 giuseppe case for 150 :)

but any ideas on the wobble?

If the shafts and butts do not wobble when not joined, the faces need to be re-squared.
If the shaft has a bad wobble, you can bend it the opposite of the warp.
But, wood has memory so it will wobble again.
If the butt has a wobble but the wrap is flat, no medication.

I think if the wood is going to curl, it will regardless no mater if you hang it or not. Do not think it will straighten out without adding some sort of pressure, hanging just will not do it. Important, this is only a guess based on the characteristics of wood.

yeah, i spose, well what do you guys vote. get the one with the bum shaft and get a replacement shaft, maybe a black dot or red dot or other good, name brand shaft.

or, get the 2x4 giuseppe combo thing with the 2 point meucci and get it tapered down because i think its one of the few meuccis ive seen with a non-tapered shaft.

yeah, i cant really try it, its not being sold at a pool room.

i will probably get the 2 point meucci and have it retapered. i could probably haggle him down to 120 for a giuseppe case, meucci, and a mali break cue so that isnt too bad :)

but that other cue looks so classy too. the shaft has a pretty big warp so i dont think i could fix that. just have to buy a new one.
