If anyone is planning on attending the Qualifier at Chris's Billiards in Chicago this weekend, this is to inform you that the tournament is actually only a 2-day tournament starting on Saturday, March 2nd and not on Friday, March 1st. The player's meeting is at 10:00am on Saturday morning, March 2nd.

Hi Jim, THANKS for putting this on the board I would not have even known it was going on otherwise. More great marketing by the pool community, LOL! BTW I live here in the Chicago burbs and was at Chris's a week ago playing 3 cushion and no one mentioned it to me. Gotta love the lack of advertising!
Hi Jim, It's not you that should be doing their marketing. It is the pool halls themselves that should be doing something to promote their business. Instead they sit on their butts do nothing and wonder how come they have so little business. DUH! Why do you suppose McDonalds still advertises? It's not because no one knows who they are that's for sure. It is because they don't want to lose any business they all ready have. Pool hall owners seem to expect folks to just come from out of nowhere. The place that held last years WCCS show here in the burbs did zero advertising for that event, hell they did not even log into AZ and post anything. I tried in vain to get them to understand that FREE advertising was available, all they had to do was join here and participate in the forum. Nope they would rather sit around texting their friends and do nothing. Just amazing to me that some of the pool establishments stay open at all. The ones that are alive do in fact make use of these forums for that exact purpose but others just don't seem to care at all.
