I've moved to Escazu, Costa Rica and have no idea where (or even if) there is a decent pool room down here. Escazu is near the capital of San Jose. If anyone knows of a decent pool room down here or even a shady bar with good tables, please let me know. Thanks!
What made u decide to move to Costa Rica???
I play online poker for a living and had to get the heck outta the US
I've looked around quite a bit and have found a couple of places with bar boxes and one place called Mac's American Bar with 2 decent 8-foots and terrible cues (all of different lengths), but no legit 9-foot tables anywhere.

One of my friends lived in Jaco for about seven years, I'll ask him.

There are two pool rooms in your town. One is on the square up stairs and the other one is around the corner and down the street on the ground floor. There is one in pavas central across from the soccer field. In san jose there is one on 10th street next to bourbon market, and its not for the weak at heart. On 8th street just before 4ht ave up stairs the is another, and if you go to 4 ave and turn right there is another one 60 feet and also up stairs. The is the 3-cushion federation in san francisco with top of the line billiard tables and several pool tables. There are pool halls everywhere and they have many pool leagues. It will take you a while to learn the rules.I've moved to Escazu, Costa Rica and have no idea where (or even if) there is a decent pool room down here. Escazu is near the capital of San Jose. If you can get in touch with Adriana Villar, and probably you can on facebook, she can put you in touch with American pool in Costa Rica (although she now may reside in Nicaragua). Also, the Federación Costarricense de Billar, they include American pool, and they can include you in.

I recall a nice pool hall some years ago on the 2nd floor of a place on a corner in Barrio Mexico in San Jose.
Thanks Roberta! In Jaco I play at Orange Peel, which is just a fun little local bar, but Jaco is an hour away from me. Really wanna find something good in San Jose.
