Pass the sugar!!!

Fresh off the truck. I had to look at the calendar because I don't recall it ever being 93 degrees on Christmas in Philadelphia. Thanks to Eric for providing the pictures I used in my earlier preview. East Indian rosewood forearm with 8 pink ivory points (4 high, 4 low), curly pink ivory handle, East Indian rosewood butt. Pink ivory/rosewood dash rings at all positions. Enjoy.

The more I see Pink Ivory the more I like it. Absolutely stunning.

It's funny. The pink ivory LOOKS a lot brighter in photos that it does in indirect light. You can't tell it's pink from any kind of distance...but it's distinctive and beautiful up close. The rosewood is so dark...it's easily mistaken for ebony from anything outside of careful examination. It's suddenly one of my favorite woods. I've only really seen it as an accent in most woods. In fact...the only other cue I can ever recall it being highlighted in was a rasputin model Ginacue. Monster cue. There are only 3 or 4 other Sugartrees I've seen that compare. The amboyna burl cue that sold on the forum recently, the stained glass cue he made for Worminator some time ago, and one he made with a rosewood forearm with massur birch points. I got to shoot with it for a few hours this evening...and it plays as good as it looks. I'll do a full review sometime tomorrow, hopefully.

Cue is one of the best players I've had thus far. Playability is always going to be subjective...but I've loved every Sugartree I've owned. Blackcreek's are a close second for me. The shafts are definitely beautiful with great tone and feedback to go along with.

wow!!!!

Nice cue u have there, i got a friend that love pink ivory, i bet he will be very very jealous when i show it to him

I'm working with Alton (Cue Caps) on some super fancy JP's. Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

I'd buy the matching trims from Eric then send them to Alton.
I sent Alton some nice clean white hard synthetics.
I just made a j/p out of it last night.
I'll post pics here tonite if I have time.

For the record...this cue is NOT for sale. I've been offered as much as $2500 for it...so it's not a matter of price. It's just...NOT FOR SALE. The next owner of this cue will be somewhere in my will...and won't get it until I expire. *LOL* Seriously though...thank you for all the interest.
