Could anyone explain to me please how to use the DC++?

I downloaded the dc++ software, but I can't seem to get it working...

I have mine on my other computer at work so I don't have access to it until Tuesday. What are you having problems with?

Isn't there a tutorial that takes you through it step by step to set it up. I think it's in the program itself.

you are supposed to have 1 gig of stuff in your dccshared file, but I noticed that a few don't appear to have anything.

After you get it set up, you just hit quickconnect and type in interpool.dnsalias.com. Then you will see a lot of other people's nicknames on the right and if they are in blue they are online. highlight one or two or three and download list. then look at the lists, see what you like and hit download. You can have many downloads going at the same time.

If you are getting the Disconnet message due to not enough slots open. Do this:

Click on "File" Menu and select "Settings...". On the window that opens, click on "Sharing". At the bottom left corner, you'll find "Upload Slots", increase it to 2 or more.
