Here's my current "big 3". I'm possibly going to pick up another Bluegrass at the DCC. These cues play great.

Pictured are a South West, Bluegrass, and Gilbert J/B.

I love my Southwest. That is a great BIG 3. I'm deciding on whether I want to buy a TAD or a Bluegrass for my next purchase.
 
hey Hal,whic do you like better SW or BG?they actually play pretty differently.
 
I actually think they play pretty similar. I alternate between them regularly. If my Bluegrass was a wee bit heavier, I'd probably prefer it over the SW.
 
i guess SW does have 2-3 different tapers.it could be one that is more similar to the BG.i love SW and BG for their natural beauty,very simple but very beautiful.
 
I have their standard taper on my shafts and I do like it. I talked to Laurie about buying some more shafts - and I "might" try the standard pro. NOt 100% sure though.

If you like your SW, then I'd think Bluegrass would be easier transition. I think Tad would be quite a change (especially SS joint ones).

By the way, did I mention I got a bluegrass I can let go??? :D

:eek: You have a cue you are willing to part with?!!! :rolleyes: ;) :)

Lisa <-----thinks Jazz a whole separate apartment for just his cue collection. :p
