If your thinking about buying a table now might be the time. I don't know if it's the economy or what but people are all but giving them away on craigslist. I'm thinking about upgrading the old namco table I have in the basement. I'm seeing brunswick and olhausen tables that are all but new with all the extra's selling for less then a grand. valley bar boxs that our going for 7 or 800 bucks.

One of our programs that was closing down just sold two Valley tables on Craig's list for $300 ea. We had two weeks to get them out of a building. The decision to put them on Craig's list was out of my hands but it worked out okay.

The problem we discovered with Valley tables was moving them. Extremely difficult to impossible if any stairs are involved. Many table movers refuse to deal with them and some interested buyers couldn't find anyone who would move them.

Good find! How many are left?

There are 13 left (but check with Elliott). The tables do need some work (rails - cloth - etc). They have a lever-leveling system, drop pockets. The lights in the picture actually belong to Desert Eagle Distributing - they are the Budweiser Distributor. I had florescent lighting that was removed (not sure why the new owner did that) sometime around 2000. The lights in the picture are for bar boxes and tey do not illuminate the entire playing surface at well.

The tables have been in commercial use since the mid 1960's. When I had the room (Montana Billiards) I had 18 of these tables, plus 2 snooker tables - in 1994 all of the tables were refurbished - the slates are the original thick slate (heavy bastards) - some of the replacement parts had to be custom made, but these tables are about 90% original. The room was purchased in 1998, and the new owner never performed maintenance the tables. Some of the tables were not salvageable - one table was lost during the flood of 2006.

In 2005-2006 the tables had work done on them by Kerry from Olhausen in Las Cruces - as well as Gilbert Griego. These tables are antiques, and they play exceptionally well. I was helping out the last owner of the room back in 2006-2007 - and at that time all of the tables pictured were in great condition. Elliott is offering them at a great price. They are a steal if you have room for one of them.

A pool table is not an easy thing to move when you are losing your house of selling. I bought a Gold crown for $500. They didn't know what to do with it. It was day zero and they had to get out.

I'll back up moving a valley. They don't come apart...you can take the legs off and thats it. It's a solid table that will last a lifetime but you better have some big S.O.B's to carry it.

Three weeks ago I got a Gold Crown III for $300 bucks! Couldnt believe it at first. Thought it had to be a typo and he left a 0 of the price. Felt like I stole it!

You did, but he set the price. He got his asking price and you got the table, I guess everyone walked away happy.
