I was checking out craigslist in cities that I have friends in and came upon a bad pic of a McDermott cue with what looked like sharp points. I emailed and texted the ad, and received a text shortly there after. After a day of communication via text, I took a leap of faith and sent a money gram to a convenient store in Bakersfield and hoped that I wasn't going to get shafted. This is the second time I've done this for a cue and luckily I received the package both times. Three days later a fairly clean D-15 was at my door. When I went to put it in my case, I realized the shaft was longer than I expected, so I pulled out the tape measure and to my surprise it is a 31.5" shaft that weighed in at 4.02oz. The butt sleeve has some nice grain in the cocobolo. I love these old McD's, this is my 4th or 5th D deries and I had a C series cue once. I really dig the simplicity of the decor, deco rings at A,B,D & E, four incredibly even and super tight points on cocobolo with three veneers of orange, green and black, my three favorite colors. The wood on this thing has that dry dense felling of the old good wood. As always, I'm impressed with these old cues that can be had for relatively cheap.
