i was playing some one pocket saturday night and needed one to win for the set. this is what happend...

[CueTable] 9ft Pocket Billiard Edition

i was trying to cut the one in the corner and thought i had the ten as a safety valve for the scratch in the upper corner. as you see the cue never got to the ten , it hit the side pocket corner and banked cross table to pocket the one ball which had stopped just in front of the pocket ( represented by the "A" ball ). the guy i was playin' was furious and i loved every second of his torment.

What was your craziest shot?

I am pocket A, and he is pocket B. Not only did he lose the cue ball and leave me straight in on the 6, but it looked like the 1 was going to 4 rail in front of my hole. That was until it hit the side pocket nipple and went in his hole instead. Some days they just don't roll in your favor.

There's no luck in 1-P?

This was a few years ago, when I was even more of a 1-P neophyte, so the details are fuzzy, but I do remember that for some reason I had $5 on the game...

My opponent leaves me at the center of the head rail. The stack area still had a good cluster of balls in it. I don't remember exactly why, but I "Hail Mary'd" the cue at a medium pace into the head of the stack - I think I was hoping to scatter the balls and leave the cue on the foot rail, while not leaving anything in front of my opponents hole.

Wouldn't you know... a ball came out of the side of the stack just in time for the natural follow on the cue ball to run up behind it for a "wing shot" into my hole.

The funny part about it was that a group of railbirds clear across the room was apparently paying close attention to the game, and they all stood and applauded, needling my opponent about leaving me that shot.

I won a tight game with THIS SHOT in a league match once. My opponent missed the 8 in the side and left me straight in for the 8 in pocket A. But my nerves were a bit worn by this point in the match, and I hit the shot way too hard, and clipped the long rail on the way in. The 8 hit the far point, then the point of the long rail again, went across the table, and spun back off one rail into the same pocket I called, for the win.

That one happens pretty often, especially for people who hit it hard (and miss by a little bit :D).

Playing 8-ball, stripes (I may have omitted some balls, no matter). I couldn't find a way down to the 12, so I semi-jumped into the 11, jumping over the 6 to roll down for shape.

First off welcome back me!

Welcome back me because I for no reason what so ever, took some time off. And I apologize for using the old WEI table but I am not familiar with the new, and can't get it to work with the version of flash I have at work.

Anyway here is one of my more proud shots to win a game of 8-ball.

My opponent was stripes, and I had a 2 rail position shot to the only side of the 8 to shot it in the top left corner. I caromed off one of his balls leaving this. I was in the zone that night and had all the confidence in the world, so I went for it.

He never let me here the end of that one the rest of league. A 2 man league my partner and I finished second only because I had a streak of 7 weeks in a row of losing my ass!

:EDIT: Looks like I don't know how to use this table either, can't the lines to stay put! LOL well it was a kick on the 8 one rail in the side, I am sure you knew that though.

Sounds like my first go at snooker when I crashed into the stack of reds and made three of them. I then banked another red and ran out to the green:D
 
Here it is...

I was playing the 8...I left myself this shot on the 8 in a 7-7 match at the BCA Nationals. I jumped the entire 4 ball and drilled the 8...three rails in the corner. My teammates didn't hear me call it so they were begging it not to go and when it did I pumped my fist and starting hollaring. Shannon Daulton stopped by a little while later and since we were a team from Lexington, KY a lot of the guys knew Shannon and told him that I had just made a world championship shot.

some trick-y type game shots

I've made the ol' six railer twice in games. First time was as a novice after remembering the pattern from Byrne's standard book. I hit it again recently in a rather ugly situation like this. The best part was that I prefaced the shot with, "its getting late, time for a little fun":

I was playing cheap one pocket with this funny older gent recently and hit this heavy sidespin three railer. I needed all the balls so I went for it. He started in with the "oh my god" when the eleven dropped and did it again when the cueball spurted off the third rail.
