I live and work in the area and have just stared going there on weekends. If you see us (I'm be the handsome guy with the tall thin red head :-) ) and a pitcher of beer, stop by and say hi.

I would love to play some C and up players. I'm and 8 ball player but am up for anything but it's important that we don't hog the table. My wife gets a little upset when people want to play me game after game and she has to sit and watch. That seems to happen to me a lot for some reason.

I love playing her but it would be nice to have a larger challenge once in a while. PLEASE don't tell her that!
 
There is a tall gentleman that goes in there from time to time. His name is Donnie Mills. He might play you some cheap $50 sets. Johnnyt

The lack of replies leads me to believe that some of you saw me play yesterday and are still asking yourselves "What's he even trying for?" :grin:
 
crooked cue

I'm there the last week of Sept and the first week of October for vacation. I enjoy going to the room. I will look for a person with red hair and a pitcher of beer when I get there.

We can visit you in a few weeks. I've never been out to the Crooked Cue, and I've heard good things of it. The hubs and I can probably visit some time in July or maybe late June.

It's a good little room. Got 2 of the best owners around the city as well. Buddy and Janet have supported pool in the area for many years. They run a smooth ship.

The other spot with a great owner and host as well is Strokers, Jose has been there for a long long time, great dude and loves pool. And will stir up action from time to time.

Without making a few phone calls and getting the dead line on you, he's not going to risk $50 against anyone, unless they are like wheeling an oxygen tank around with them.
