Cross-back bank on a Diamond?

By the way, with the OB off the rail that much (looks like a coupla inches) you should also be able to "stiff" it one rail into the other side.

From that position the higher percentage shot is 1 rail cross side.

I tried to line it up for the standard kiss for the Diamond. I wasn't too picky on the distance, as I just wanted to show the shot. The shot should've been set up for a easy kiss, but you're both welcome to give it a go if you want. The CB was a bit wide, so a bit of stick would've been needed there to stiffin it up, or you'd need to come across it pretty good to get the angle.

Find the kiss line and go from there. It's a fairly easy shot once you get that figured out.

I could be wrong.. I often am.. ask my girlfriend.

Just noticed you're in OH, Worm. Chances just got better that I'm wrong!

I agree that the kiss can be unavoidable, in which case twice across is the right shot - it just didn't look like it in the video, so I thought you might not know how much room you have to go one rail. With a fast cue ball, some inside spin and from a straighter direction it might even go one rail when frozen (as you probably know).

Ohhh, your tryin to make a shot that won't go on most tables. The ones you were making that shot on do have some different kind of rubber or something going on I would think.I have made it on a Diamond buy not very often.Super tuff shot that has to have just the right table and conditions, imo. When their on the same side it's not that hard but when you want it to go down below the side and come back:eek: Is all I can think of,lol Good luck but that shot won't work on most good tables and or rails.Again, jmho. John B.

PS: I only play on Diamonds around here. That's what all my friends have and me also. There's 4 Diamonds within a few miles of my house, lol

I would of thought this thread would have ended after this one. Johnnyt

Nah, he just misunderstood the shot. I knew I had to be doing something wrong, especially since I had seen the affects I wanted happening during other shots. I forgive him this time!

The angle may have been deceiving in the video, I think. Either way, it's a great shot for when the kiss just can't quite be avoided and goes frequently on most tables from what I've seen. My buddy didn't get the vid working the first time on my phone, so when he did I just lined it up a couple of times and fired away.

With winter seeping in here, I got a sense of 'sponginess' from the rails last night. Could be that I'm starting to expect more after shooting so many on the Diamonds or maybe I was just off a bit on some. Did end up getting a 4 and a 5 playing a friend some short rack on the Valleys, so I didn't feel like a complete lost cause.
