I don't know about the rest of you but I find it rather refreshing to see some names that are not all that familiar to me left in the final 16 of the CSI bar box championship. Although many people may know of the players regionally they are not names I see pop up a lot in big national tournaments.

So a big shout out and best of luck to:

Joseph Tourangeau
Alex Olinger
Brian Butler
Mike Hellmer
Jerry Matchin
Billy Ussery Jr
Travis McKinney

Rather than an onslaught of crap raining down on me for not getting out to much, if you know the players I singled out please give a brief resume of them so I can learn:)

Best of luck to each player and hope to see a least one if not two in the finals.
 
Ussery is fine man from nc. Solid player.

I played him twice in tourneys, we each won once.
One set was 9-1, the other 9-0... I don't recall who is ahead, but pool is a funny game sometimes.
 
BJ in top gear is pro speed all day long I've seen him lose to lesser players maybe not taking them serious but when he is he's a beast of a player

There's an article about Alex O on the front page of AZ Billiards. Tourangeau has been a BB monster for years. Ussery is GSBT regular as is Olinger.

Looks like Liz Lovely won the ladies division also,all the money comes back to Dayton!:p

thanks for the update. Guess I was a little late. I thought the finals were going to start at 8:30- that's what the schedule said earlier in the day. Oh well. Hopefully Deuel gets this second set.
